Silent Meditation Retreat

Silent Meditation Retreat

Join Jagad and Julian for a transformative 3-day silent meditation retreat at Flourish Sanctuary (near Nimbin) from January 19-21, 2024.

In our fast-paced lives, finding moments to slow down and integrate our experiences can be a challenge. However, this retreat offers you a unique opportunity to unwind and reconnect with your true self. Instead of engaging in activities that take you away from the present moment, such as internet browsing or watching movies, immerse yourself in silent stillness and allow your overactive mind to experience deep rest and restoration.

During the retreat, Julian and Jagad will guide you through structured meditations aimed at facilitating a profound reconnection with yourself, beyond the superficial activities of your conscious mind. Julian will employ mindfulness and serenity meditations to create conditions for deep contemplation, while Jagad will lead you in exploring the non-dual state of Being.

Julian has sat in over thirty silent vipassana and samatha retreats and has lived for nearly 2 years in Buddhist monasteries since 1990. He has a very thorough experiential knowledge of dharma as well has past experiences teaching and running mindfulness and calmness (samatha) meditation retreats.

Jagad Samuel had a profound and spontaneous awakening/enlightenment through what some would call a “near-death experience”, and has retained a powerful experiential connection to non-dual states of Being.

This all-inclusive residential retreat provides various accommodation options and wholesome vegetarian meals. The disciplined schedule includes guided sitting meditations, walking meditations, designated meal and break times, as well as brief dharma talks and instructions.

Secure your spot for this transformative experience by purchasing tickets. Further details will be shared upon registration, or you can reach out for discussion by phone beforehand. For any inquiries, feel free to contact Julian at 0411 450 642.

Let's collectively return to a state of balance in our lives and rediscover our true selves.

Flourish Sanctuary exists primarily to serve the people of our community. To date, we have proudly not taken any government grants or corporate money and are totally independently funded. Everybody who works on the property is an unpaid volunteer apart from our cleaner, but they do get to live on this sacred land. Black Sheep Farm and Compassion Temple are operated by volunteers of Flourish Sanctuary. Our purpose is people, not profits. If you can make a donation to support our purpose then please click here.

We believe this world is for everyone regardless of spiritual beliefs, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity or species. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we gather, the Bundjalung people, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. We recognise their continuing connection to land, water, and community, and we support their ongoing efforts towards self-determination and sovereignty.
